Ledion Ultra
LEDs (light emitting diodes) have many advantages, such as very low power consumption, little heat and a very long light source life, meaning maintenance free operation for many years. Product specifications, manuals and prices available to view/download at the base of this page.

The Ledion Ultra range of 1 watt high power RGB colour changing LED products was launched in 2004 and now offers a wide selection of products suitable for many applications. These have proved over the years to be well made and reliable in use, and most units are now using selected Cree XRE LEDs.

The popular and cost effective 50mm MR16 fixtures are available in 3 or 6 LED versions (the three is now a full colour mix at source from the CE range (CE3, LU6) and a chrome ceiling mount is included, but any suitable MR16 housing can be used instead. The LU4 50mm was the first product adding a white LED to the red, green and blue LEDs (RGBW). The white mixed with the RGB colours allows pastel shades to be created across the colour spectrum, and creates a more natural white with all LEDs full on.

Variations using any of the above 3, 4 or 6 LED fixtures are an IP67 in ground walk over stainless steel fitting, an IP68 fitting with ground spike (can also be surface mounted), chrome Minispot (‘birdie can’) and the attractive Podspot (IP44 for exterior use and available on brushed metal, chrome or brass finish).

The 12 LED AR111 fitting (LU12) is also available in different variations for different applications:  bracketed surface mount, integrated recessed for ceiling mount, AR111 body only for mounting into any suitable AR111 housing, or Par36 ‘Can’. For exterior use the LU12 IG inground has an IP67 rating and a 2000kg load bearing. All of the LU12 range is available in RGB or RGBW.

The LUS range of linear strips, in 400mm (12 LED), 800mm (24 LED) or 1200mm (36 LED) are a great way of providing a wash of colour, and are available with three choices of optics to suit varying applications, or without optics for a wide coverage. For exterior use the LUS can be supplied fitted with an optional watertight tube. Available in RGB or RGBW. New is a 1600mm with 48 LEDs, RGBW only.

For curves or cove lighting the LUS FLEX unit is an alternative to the linear strips, with 3 (RGB) LEDs mounted on a 130mm x 24mm surface mountable board, which links linked to the next by flexible flat cable, recommended spacing four units per linear metre. An enclosed optic version is also available, as are RGBW versions of both types.

The Ledion LUD48 single output Driver for these fixtures can drive up to 36 x 1 watt LEDs (RGB) or 48 (RGBW). This driver has a digital display and onboard programs for stand alone use, or can be run (singly or in multiples) from the Ledion LUC-01 inexpensive controller, or from any suitable DMX controller. The original Ledion LUD36 driver LUD 36 driver, with dipswitch settings and for 36 1 watt RGB LEDs only is also available. b will be reinstated, in a smaller housing, and at less cost. Additionally, a four output driver (LUD192) is available.

The LU1 is a single 1 watt LED unit which is available in six LED colours, including warm or cold white, and with or without optic, with an aluminium body to fit into a 25mm cut out or recess. For exterior use  new stainless steel IP rated sealed versions are now available; both models can be driven from the LUD1 drivers.

Ledion Panels and 5mm range

‘All of the Ledion 5mm range of panels and fixtures are now fitted with high quality Nichia 20mA LEDs; this will ensure reliability and consistent performance for many years.’   

The LEDION RGB LED colour changing lighting panels offer unrivalled mood generation, suitable for a whole host of applications, with subtle colour and intensity changes.

The range of panels consists of a low profile 44mm x 300mm x 300mm, 44mm x 600mm x 600mm or floor tile 600x600mm square panel. Typical light source life is minimum 50,000 hours and energy consumption is negligible.

Driver Modules are available in 4, 8 or 16 output versions, each ouput driving one panel of any type. These will operate stand alone via a preset program, or can be fully controlled via the LMC/08 controller, or from any DMX controller.

Using the same 5mm closely spaced LEDs as in the Ledion panels, the new Ledion LL range linear strips offer a cost effective alternative to the Ultra 1 watt LUS linear strips for shorter throw applications. Available in 300mm, 600mm, 900mm or 1200mm lengths. These use the same Driver Boxes as the panels but with each output driving up to 1200mm of strip.

‘Recent additions to the 5mm RGB range include the LD18, an 18 LED downlight that can be mounted into any suitable MR16 50mm fitting, and a 48 LED AR111 lamp replacement, again to be mounted into any suitable AR111/PAR36 fitting, or, with an optional rear mount bracket, used as a cost effective surface mount fixture.  However, integral units using the AR111 LED are also available, an eyeball recessed unit and a bracketed surface mount version.

Each output of the Driver modules can drive up to 96 LEDs, e.g. 2 x AR111 or 5 x LD18, so the LMD/4 four output module could drive 8 x Ar111 or 20 LD18.’
